About Me

I’m Vanessa De Prophetis, but you probably know me as “Girl With The Dogs”. Ever since I was a little girl, animals have been my biggest passion. It's no surprise that I opened my own dog grooming business — “Perfect Pooches Dog Grooming”. I spend my days grooming pets and my nights creating content to educate and entertain pet lovers online.

In June 2011, I quit hairdressing and begged for an opportunity at a pet grooming shop. A year later, I started my own business. In April 2020, I launched my TikTok @girlwithedogs — which exploded during the pandemic. Since then, I’ve made it my mission to educate pet owners while keeping things fun and engaging.

As a groomer, there’s never a dull moment. Every pet is different — some are calm, others are full of energy. But working with animals is always rewarding and fun. My goal is to spread awareness about the importance of grooming for a pet’s health, and give recognition to hardworking groomers everywhere.
